Amelia is the kind of dog that makes you smile just by being nearby. Bred by Elettars and raised during the first litter I ever had a hand in, she holds a gentle, dorky, glitter-sparkle kind of special in my heart. She’s sweet, affectionate, and just earnest enough to be the Vizsla version of Gretchen Wieners.

She’s as correct in structure as they come, with a presence in the ring that quietly demands attention. Under the skilled handling of Elektra Oysher, Amelia finished her Australian Champion title with ease- no fuss, no drama, just clean movement, beautiful type, and class wins against strong competition. She’s the kind of bitch judges remember, even if she pretends not to notice the spotlight.

Retired from the show ring (for now), Amelia is putting that willing, thoughtful nature into training for tricks. She’s smart, tries her heart out, and will do just about anything if it earns her a cuddle and a treat. We haven’t quite made it to our first trial yet… but hey, getting there is half the fun, right?

There’s a softness to Amelia that’s hard to put into words, but if you’ve met her, you know. She’s joy in gentle form. She’s not the loudest, not the boldest, but she’s everything lovely about this breed wrapped into one velvety package.
